Ordering repeat prescriptions

If you require a repeat prescription please allow 72 hours notice. If possible, please collect your medication after 15:00.

Prescription charges must be paid for on receipt. The charges are laid down by government policy.

Pre-payment or exemption certificates must be presented.

Please return unused or out of date medications to the surgery.

All patients on regular repeat medication need to be seen for a review annually.

There are a number of ways to order repeat prescriptions, listed below:

NHS App

Order repeat prescriptions by logging in to your NHS App or the NHS website, and have them sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

Request slip

Using the reorder slip issued to you when you collect a prescription from our dispensary. To save waiting, your request slip can be posted in the prescription requests box located in the lobby.

By telephone

Our prescription line is open from 11am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please leave a message on our answerphone if you cant get through

If you need to obtain your medicines urgently please telephone the dispensary on 01287 660900 (Danby) or 01947 895356 (Egton) or and let the staff know. 

Dispensing medicines service

Currently the services we offer are:

  • Repeat and acute prescriptions
  • Online ordering
  • Medication reviews
  • Medication dispensed at the time of your appointment if for acute medication only
  • Prescription delivery service to the housebound
  • Order your prescriptions via the NHS app. You can sign up for the NHS app by using the self-verification.
